Club Profile

Our Optimist Club is composed of dynamic, motivated individuals who use their life skills to benefit their community’s needs, especially the needs of our youth. As creative people, we constantly seek innovative ways to help our neighbors. Our club enjoys autonomy, elects its Board of Directors and therefore has the opportunity to take the necessary decisions concerning arising issues. This authority also allows us to create and implement programs specific to the needs of youth in our community. We are then able to organize fundraisers that will help the community’s youth.

Like more than 80,000 other volunteers around the world, we are part of Optimist International, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to "Bring Out the Best in Kids". Approximately 20,000 Canadian Optimist volunteers take to heart the development of young people by contributing to, participating in, and improving and influencing the full development of our youth. In addition, our Optimist status allows us to take advantage of and benefit from the many quality international programs which include various training and development programs, access to marketing tools, and the chance to meet Optimists from all over thanks to our annual conventions. We are passionate people with a deep desire to make a difference both in our community and in our personal lives.
